Amador Adult Education provides a range of free educational programs and support designed to meet learners where they are and help them succeed:
- High School Diploma
- GED Prep & Testing
- Beginning English Literacy
- U.S. Citizenship Preparation
- Workforce & Career Preparation
- Playcare (family support)
๐ Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years or older to enroll in all programs
- Medical courses: students need to have a high school diploma or GED equivalent to enroll
- Students are not required to be a resident of Amador County; however, students are required to reside in California

Additional Adult Education Resources
- GetSetUp
- A social learning platform for individuals 50+, taught by peers. The classes are live and consist of digital learning, physical health, mental health, social health, and vocational health. Patrons receive a pass or code from their library (found on the platform landing page) to be able to access all of the classes that they would like to participate in for a month at a time.
- LearningExpress Library
- An interactive online learning platform featuring over 770 practice tests, tutorials, and e-books related to job search and workplace skills improvement. You will get immediate scoring, complete answer explanations, and an individualized analysis of your results.
- Northstar Digital Literacy
- Learning platform for people with no or limited technology skills. Provides assessments of 14 different digital skills. Offers courses that include email, internet basics and basic information literacy.
