	Ancestry Ancestry Library Edition delivers billions of records in census data, vital records, directories, photos, and more. Available in the Jackson Library only.

	Legal Information Source Contains more than 310 full-text publications and thousands of legal forms. Funded by the Amador County Law Library.

	Mango Languages Online language learning system teaching actual conversation skills for a wide variety of languages.

Digital Resources for Students

California offers — at no cost to public schools, districts, local libraries or students — online educational content and tools with COMPASS: the California Online Media Program for Access and Student Success. Listed alphabetically.

	Alexander Street Explore professional theatre, music, and dance performances in video. Read thousands of drama scripts from well-known playwrights (7 collections), including materials for Ethnic Studies. Expand understanding in history and social studies with documentaries, contemporary news stories, and primary-source videos.

	Archives Unbound Presents topically-focused digital collections of historical documents that support the research and study needs of scholars, researchers, and students at the college and university level. A multi-disciplinary resource, collections cover a broad range of topics from the Middle Ages forward-from Witchcraft to World War II to twentieth-century political history.

	AtoZ: The USA Contains more than 115 state articles for each of the 50 US states, five US territories, and the District of Columbia.

	A to Z: Maps Online Contains more than 100,000 downloadable maps for young and old alike.

	Black Freedom Struggle Primary source documents related to critical people and events in African American history. Over 3,000 documents focused on six different phases of Black Freedom.

	Britannica Escolar This essential Spanish-language reference tool, designed for PreK-8, provides immersive and bilingual educational content. It is structured to support both primaria and secundaria levels, making it an ideal resource for Spanish-speaking students and educators.

	Britannica School A comprehensive instructional and reference platform at three levels: elementary, middle, and high. The platform engages learners with interactive elements and supports diverse learning needs, including multilingual translation and open dyslexic font. It's a resource-rich environment for educators, offering lesson plans and tools for every grade level.

	Central Student College-level academic database with millions of articles and other content. Access provided from Homework Central through the ProQuest platform

	CultureGrams Cultural information on countries around the world, from basic information to perspectives on daily life and culture, including background, customs, and lifestyles of the world’s people, or by U.S. state or Canadian province. Features include recipes, charting comparisons, and more.

	eLibrary General reference aggregation of millions of individual periodical articles and digital media content, with a guidance interface to help select research topics and find authoritative information to support research claims.

	Environmental Studies Specialized suite of content at the middle school and high school levels that specifically addresses issues and topics related to the environment, from the science concepts tomanmade impacts to policy.

	National Geographic Kids Suite of content from National Geographic Kids, including full articles from years of the magazine, books published as part of the NatGeo Kids library, and specialized videos.

	PBS Video Collection Collection of more than 1,700 streaming videos of educational documentaries and series from PBS.

	PebbleGo Science PebbleGo is a curricular content hub specifically designed for K-2 students from Capstone. PebbleGo Science supports STEM learning in English and Spanish and provides 100 interactive STEAM eBooks from Capstone.

	Research Companion Series of informational video modules that guide students into the research and writing process for reports and papers. Topics vary from starting the process and choosing a thesis, to finding sources and creating citations, to copyright considerations and how to avoid plagiarism.

	Schools & Educators Complete Suite of eBooks from ProQuest across disciplines. May be found in the main ProQuest platform by segmenting searches by eBooks, or by selecting “change database.” See also three drama text collections (American, English, 20th Century).

	Science This interactive tool includes 3D modules and interactive components to explore science – anatomy, chemistry, biology, earth science. Guides lead students through terms and concepts, as well as self-assessments to further learning.

	SIRS Discoverer Selected content for beginning researchers, especially elementary and middle school students. Reliable age-appropriate content for classwork, homework and research assignments. Also includes eBooks appropriate for upper elementary and middle school.

	SIRS Issues Researcher Curriculum-aligned content on complex subjects geared to middle and high school students, with a focus on current and relevant analysis of today’s most important issues. Educator resources include curriculum guides and note organizers.

	Teaching Books for Libraries TeachingBooks for Libraries features resources and tools for public library patrons and staff. You’ll find support for homeschool families, programming and book promotion ideas, and collection analysis tools.

	Teaching Books for Schools TeachingBooks features a suite of diverse literacy resources that enrich the fiction and nonfiction books read by children and young adults. Author interviews, book trailers, vocabulary lists, lesson plans, book-related games, and more can be found in this easy-to-use platform. Toolkits for school library programs, diverse books, and early childhood literacy are popular.
