FAQ
1. Why was my request denied?
There are many reasons why a ZIP Books request might be denied, including:
- available funding- ZIP Books is a grant-funded program and funding varies from year to year. Requests are accepted on until funding runs out.
- price- to maximize our funding, we prioritize requests under $50.00.
- not suitable for the collection- requests for items that don't meet our Collection Management Policy will not be considered.
2. How can I request an ebook or eaudiobook?
We’re excited to share that eBooks for All is now supported under the Zip Books initiative. Patrons can now submit title requests via an online form. Once a requested title is added to the statewide collection, patrons receive notification and can check it out immediately.
This program is supported in whole or in part by funding provided by the State of California, administered by the California State Library.
