Traditional Election Day polling places have been replaced with Voter Centers that will permit a voter to cast their ballot up to 10 days before the Election, including weekends. There will be three Vote Center in Amador County, and unlike polling places where you had to visit a specific location, any voter may use cast their ballot at any Voter Center.
In addition to Voter Centers, a voter can also return their ballot by postage paid envelope, or drop it at one of five convenient ballot drop boxes.

*The County Administration Center will be available for voters to obtain ballots, replace spoiled ballots, register to vote, and drop-off voted Vote by Mail ballots starting on May 4, 2026.
Ballot Drop-off Locations Available Starting May 5, 2026
Make an effort to drop off your ballot prior to Election Day. If store hours for our locations change, or the store needs to close early, that may affect your vote if you wait until the last minute. We have done everything we can to make it easy to return a ballot, but it is a voter's responsibility to ensure they return their ballot timely.
