Overview

The Treasurer-Tax Collector manages and protects the County's financial assets and ensures the greatest returns on County funds through the efficient collection of property taxes and professional administration of the County Treasury. As the County's banking depository, the department provides pooled treasury services to County departments, schools and special districts.. As County Tax Collector, she is responsible for the billing and collection of property taxes and assessments on the secured and unsecured tax rolls, and for the collection of delinquent taxes under various programs.

Property Tax Payment Options

The Amador County Tax Collector's Office would like to note that property taxes can be paid online or over the telephone using the information provided under "Pay/View Property Tax Bill" from the Menu Options on this page. 

They may also be paid by check or money order through the mail.  Such mailed payments must be properly addressed and postmarked by the applicable payment deadline to avoid late penalties.  This includes payments made by Bill Pay through your bank.

For the convenience of taxpayers, a payment drop box is located on the outside wall of the alcove to the immediate left of the main entrance to the County Administration Center.
