Working as a Caregiver helps individuals stay in the comforts of their homes while receiving the assistance that they need.  The benefits of becoming a Registry Provider not only helps those in need, but offers benefits to those doing the job. Some of those benefits are:

  • EBUPS (Emergency Back Up Provider Services) - these are short assignments on an urgent need and could be paid at a differential.

  • Opportunity for overtime & Travel Reimbursement 

Current wages for Amador County IHSS/WPCS providers are:

Effective 1/1/2025 - $18.00/hourly

*must meet requirements to be eligible         

 

Mission Statement

The mission of the IHSS Public Authority of Amador County is to improve the quality of life for eligible recipients. Providing access to a Registry of providers who deliver positive, timely, and effective care.

 

Public Authority Services:

  • Recruiting and screening independent providers
  • Facilitates state required provider orientations
  • Maintaining a registry of providers** (see below)
  • Referring Registry Providers to IHSS consumers
  • Support services for recipients and providers
  • Health Benefits Manager for qualifying providers
