Welcome to CalFresh Healthy Living (SNAP-Ed)
VISION: A California where everyone is healthy, active and nourished.
CalFresh Healthy Living, federally known as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP-Ed), is the largest nutrition education program in the United States. More than one-third of California residents are eligible for CalFresh Healthy Living. California’s CalFresh Healthy Living program strives to improve the health of eligible Californians through education and healthy community changes.
Amador County Public Health provides nutrition education to enhance the health and well-being of residents across the county. In partnership with income-eligible schools, the program equips teachers, staff, students, and their families with vital resources to encourage healthy eating and physical activity. It also offers students hands-on gardening opportunities to promote healthier food choices and lifestyles. Additionally, the program works with community organizations to provide affordable, nutritious recipes to underserved residents. Together we can create a healthier community!
