The Amador Community Health Improvement Collaborative (ACHIC) is a partnership of local organizations, agencies, and community members dedicated to improving health and wellness in Amador County. Guided by local health assessments, ACHIC identifies pressing needs and brings together focused workgroups to develop creative, practical solutions that make a lasting impact in our communities.
Partners in this effort include Amador County Department of Social Services, Amador County Public Health, Amador County Unified School District, Amador Senior Center, First 5 Amador, Interfaith Food Bank, The Resource Connection WIC Program, University of California Agriculture, and Sutter Health.
Our Process
The Amador Community Health Improvement Collaborative (ACHIC) has been established to identify specific projects that focus efforts on improving health and wellness within the community.
How Does it Work?
Once a project is identified, key stakeholders and partners will be invited to join a workgroup for a specified timeframe (approximately 12 months) to create goals and focus on a project.
Work Group Overview
Once a workgroup has been assembled, the ACHIC will provide support to the members:
- At least one ACHIC member will attend workgroup meetings
- Templates will be provided to develop goals and actions
- Timelines will be identified to ensure that projects are completed in approximately one year
